En takes his offsiders to a party to find a new partner。 Caiman and Nikaido visit the Sorcerers' world to find out more about the sorcerer who turned Caiman into a lizard-man。The third volume of Dorohedoro reveals a little more about key characters, like Ebisu and Nikaido, through encounters in the Sorcerers' world。 There's gore-soaked fight scenes, hilarious dialogue and a bit of character development。 With it all Dorohedoro gets more and more interesting and readable。 En takes his offsiders to a party to find a new partner。 Caiman and Nikaido visit the Sorcerers' world to find out more about the sorcerer who turned Caiman into a lizard-man。The third volume of Dorohedoro reveals a little more about key characters, like Ebisu and Nikaido, through encounters in the Sorcerers' world。 There's gore-soaked fight scenes, hilarious dialogue and a bit of character development。 With it all Dorohedoro gets more and more interesting and readable。 。。。more

Right, so there's nothing about this series I dislike。 The aesthetic, the action, the world, the relationships, the dark humour, the art - just priceless and wonderful, all of it。 At this point I'm content saying Dorohedoro is one of my favourite manga series。 The plot's really coming into its own now, the stakes getting higher, and yet everyone is so ridiculous and Caiman is utterly oblivious and Noi/Shin/Fujita/Ebisu/En form such a dysfunctional family dynamic that it balances the tension perf Right, so there's nothing about this series I dislike。 The aesthetic, the action, the world, the relationships, the dark humour, the art - just priceless and wonderful, all of it。 At this point I'm content saying Dorohedoro is one of my favourite manga series。 The plot's really coming into its own now, the stakes getting higher, and yet everyone is so ridiculous and Caiman is utterly oblivious and Noi/Shin/Fujita/Ebisu/En form such a dysfunctional family dynamic that it balances the tension perfectly。 This introduction of Risu dropped my jaw though, let me tell you。 Nikaido is a fucking badass (which was obviously previously established), but I think her fear of her past made her borderline reckless in this volume。 I so curious of all the details。 She and Caiman need to have a talk, that's certain, or next time a mushroom to the back is gonna seem tame punishment。 That said, I'm absolutely content to lean back and experience this chaos without really predicting what's to come。 I just have so much damn fun reading through this series and holding on for the ride。 。。。more

I'm seeing some improovements。The art got better in this volume and the story still intrigues me but there's something about this manga that doesn't get to me the way i was expecting to。 I don't know what it is, i like it so far but not that much。The characters are still (for me) the main driving force, they're super interesting and fun。 Nikaido is the one that intrigues me the most, so much mystery around her, i wanna knot more about her and her past。Overall, it's a fine manga so far。 I'm not c I'm seeing some improovements。The art got better in this volume and the story still intrigues me but there's something about this manga that doesn't get to me the way i was expecting to。 I don't know what it is, i like it so far but not that much。The characters are still (for me) the main driving force, they're super interesting and fun。 Nikaido is the one that intrigues me the most, so much mystery around her, i wanna knot more about her and her past。Overall, it's a fine manga so far。 I'm not crazy about it but i hope i start liking it more because it's been a fun read so far。 。。。more

Time for a bully sandwich!! This is definitely my favorite volume so far。 It started out with one of my favorite episodes from the anime so I knew it would be。 I do like the name “Kikurage” better than Judas’s Ear though。 I will always be a fan of the guts and gore, and this volume was drenched in it。 Seeing the scenes the weren’t in the anime, is an added bonus, especially the one with Ebisu and the pictures !!

I continue to love the mix of the violent and bizarre within the pages of Dorohedoro。 We are coming close to where the anime left off, so I am interested to see if I will be able to follow the raw art style as well when I do not have a frame of reference。 This is a solid series with many intriguing elements that keep me wanting to explore this world and its characters。

This series continues to be ultra gory & violent, yet is still simultaneously laugh-out-loud funny。 The cast of characters are charming and really give solid comedic relief when things get bloody。 I adored the art in this volume as well。 It is as gorgeous as it is gruesome!

Once again there are some ruff moments with the translation but over all this is another wild and enjoyable volume。

I enjoyed this。 I'm glad they're veering away from the weird stuff with Ebisu。 Overall, a 5/5。 I enjoyed this。 I'm glad they're veering away from the weird stuff with Ebisu。 Overall, a 5/5。 。。。more

More grim spectacle and gorgeous ruination。 We learn a lot more about Kaiman's BFF Nikaido, and she gets to go on her own action-espionage adventure while revealing herself to be much more ruthless than expected。 The art continues to be excellent, and the little moments of levity bring out the personality of the whole thing。 More grim spectacle and gorgeous ruination。 We learn a lot more about Kaiman's BFF Nikaido, and she gets to go on her own action-espionage adventure while revealing herself to be much more ruthless than expected。 The art continues to be excellent, and the little moments of levity bring out the personality of the whole thing。 。。。more

I kinda hate that I have to wait weeks for every volume, but holy smokes [°L°] I love everything about this series so so much。

Volume 3: Ghosts, magic drugs, a freaky housepet, and hell-toilets。

This author seems to have an obsession with food。 Caiman is constantly going on about eating, especially gyoza, and of course the connection between Caiman and Nikaido revolves around her kitchen/restaurant。 There are some creative moments in this volume, particularly the door made from the flesh and bones of dead sorcerers, and there are some pretty good gore scenes。 The humor continues to be kind of goofy and silly in contrast to the violence, softening the effect。 Decently entertaining fun。

Justin

Dorohedoro continues to be a very solid series, with likable characters, good pacing, and an enjoyable plot。 It's nice, seeing the other side of the looking glass, so to speak, with most of the action in this volume taking place in the world of sorcerers。 Not a whole lot else to say, that doesn't get into spoiler territory--it's just a really satisfying read。 Dorohedoro continues to be a very solid series, with likable characters, good pacing, and an enjoyable plot。 It's nice, seeing the other side of the looking glass, so to speak, with most of the action in this volume taking place in the world of sorcerers。 Not a whole lot else to say, that doesn't get into spoiler territory--it's just a really satisfying read。 。。。more

Rereading this while watching the anime, though I have no memory of reading this volume before。 The plot continues to be excellent, though I'm increasingly uncomfortable with the oversexualization of Nikaidou。 It's still there in the anime, but they've toned it down, thankfully。 Rereading this while watching the anime, though I have no memory of reading this volume before。 The plot continues to be excellent, though I'm increasingly uncomfortable with the oversexualization of Nikaidou。 It's still there in the anime, but they've toned it down, thankfully。 。。。more
